SUEZ is transforming the way we manage water by utilities, for utilities.

Out of the Blue worked with the North American arm of SUEZ Smart & Environmental Solutions (SUEZ), a smart water giant that’s protecting our world’s most valuable resource. Together, we redeveloped WaterRising Institute’s workforce development program, WaterWomam Project 2.0, which focuses on improving policies and programs focused on recruitment and retention to achieve a more gender-inclusive water workplace. Deliverables included program strategic planning, engagement tactics and partnership development to build an industry coalition that believes we can overcome gender barriers in water management with data and technology.

Following our initial collaboration, SUEZ retained Out of the Blue to support its North American marketing efforts, including refreshing and rewriting marketing materials, from brochures and presentations to case studies and social media assets.

Out of the Blue later designed and delivered the SUEZ SES North America-supported Gender & Youth Hub to kick off the UN 2023 Water Conference——the first global convening on water resilience strategy in 47 years. The Hub helped the next generation of water workers learn how to turn climate action into a career. It featured speakers from NYC mayoral offices focused on climate, environmental justice and UN SDGs, America’s largest water and wastewater utility (NYC DEP), C40 Cities, and more. The event was attended by over 100 middle-schoolers and over 1,000 livestreamers.

SUEZ Smart & Environmental Solutions is the digital services arm of SUEZ, the second largest water and waste manager in the world.

Our Challenge:

Position SUEZ Smart & Environmental Solutions as a future employer with whom students could envision a career with purpose, one that serves families and communities, while transforming the way we manage water for a more sustainable and resilient future.

Out of the Blue Solution:

Reposition SUEZ in North America by providing its smart water tech experts thought leadership and role-modeling opportunities while amplifying SUEZ’s ESG commitment to gender equality (SDG 5) and clean water and sanitation (SDG 6).
